📚 #Arjun's grandson, king #Parikshit, who was the only heir to the throne of #Hastinapur after the #Kurukshetra war, was cursed by a sage's son to die by the bite of snake #Takshaka
📚 Takshaka instructed a few snakes to take the disguise of sages and take some #fruits🍒, kusa grass and water for the king as gifts. Takshaka took the form of an insect and got into one of those fruits.
📚 The king accepted those gifts and due to the curse, he felt the desire of eating them and the fruit with Takshaka inside was taken by him. As the king started eating it, Takshaka came out. The king recognised the insect to be Takshaka and accepted his death.
📚 #अर्जुन के पौत्र, राजा #परीक्षित, जो #कुरुक्षेत्र युद्ध के बाद #हस्तिनापुर के सिंहासन के एकमात्र उत्तराधिकारी थे, उन्हें एक ऋषि के पुत्र ने सांप #तक्षक के काटने से मरने का श्राप दिया था।
📚 तक्षक ने कुछ सांपों को ऋषियों का भेष धारण करने और उपहार के रूप में राजा के लिए कुछ #फल🍒, कुश घास और पानी लेने का निर्देश दिया। तक्षक ने कीट का रूप धारण किया और उन फलों में से एक में समा गया।
📚 राजा ने उन उपहारों को स्वीकार कर लिया और श्राप के कारण उन्हें वह फल खाने की इच्छा हुई जिसमे तक्षक छिपा था। जैसे ही राजा ने उसे खाना शुरू किया, तक्षक बाहर आ गया। राजा ने कीट को तक्षक के रूप में पहचान लिया और उसकी मृत्यु को स्वीकार कर लिया।
